Scratching the Toric itch
The recent posts by M4 and TheMadDruid celebrating their gorgeous Parmigiani Fleurier Toric watches have had me wondering which model would be my personal absolute top choice: and I think it could be this rose gold grey dial Toric Memory Time, ref. C00840, with second time zone at 12.
Just my taste, of course, but the photos I've found online are beautiful enough to be worth sharing.
This thread is a complement to a previous one dedicated to Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Automatic & Memory Time. And our fellow member Gob Bluth has posted here about his own ref. C00840.

Very beautiful Toric Memory Time.
I especially like the first photo with the calfskin strap. The small graining of the strap complements the guilloche of the center dial perfectly.
At 36mm diameter, the Memory Time is a wonderful early Toric for a smaller wrist.

I completely agree with you on the first photo.
I think this 36mm case would fit my smaller wrist perfectly. Hoping to see one in real life someday.

The shades of grey and pink gold are beautifully interwoven.

That really is a stunning looking watch.
For me I think it looks best on that beautiful grey crocodile strap and think the second time zone at 12 is really clever and a good way to display it. I also don't have an issue with it being only 36mm as I have myself recently got used to a 35mm Cartier de Pasha 2308 in white gold and although at first it seemed small it's amazing how quickly you get to be accustomed to it and it just feels normal.

I’ve been recently enchanted by PF, partly
thanks to your previous post and partly that
I had one on my wrist for the first time and was smitten
with the fineness of the work. I’ve had my eye on the
first version of the perpetual calendar and also the simpler
toric with the date.
I'm still waiting to be able to see one of these early Torics in real life.
I'm not surprised that you liked the one you've been trying on.
The retrograde perpetual calendar and the automatic are also gorgeous pieces, with a slightly larger diameter, if I'm not mistaken.

For me, it's one of the best cases ever
Too bad case work in general is underappreciated. The original Ionica has a similar beauitful case.
I couldn’t agree more: one of the best cases ever.
As for the Ionica, I love it and gave it the first place in my thread on a few shaped calibers.

36mm is an excellent size. And 99 out of 100 times I’d choose RG over a white metal case. Hope you get to see one and be unable to take it off your wrist. 😊
What a marvelous watch — overall presentation is exquisite — love the image 11 — a wrist shot.
I like the first strap too, but the green/gray is very nice indeed.

I really like the case of the Toric and treatment of the buckle.
The olive gator strap in the last few pix works very well!
I completely agree: Michel Parmigiani has designed a very nice buckle to match the case.
I also like the gator strap but find that the grained calf one on the first pic works very well too.

One day, I will acquire one of these original, double step Toric cased watches. They are really one of a kind.
