Parmigiani periodically introduces highly limited special creations in its Objets D'Art Collection. Historically, the brand founder, Michel Parmigiani, is closely involved in these creations. This year's art piece - the Carillon Tourbillon Anniversaire - celebrates the 30th anniversary of Parmigiani Fleurier. It is a mind-blowing and exclusive piece with just five pieces being made.
From the dial side, the eye is immediately drawn to the hand hammered "Morning Blue" dial, but closer inspection reveals the star of the show, namely serpentine gongs snaking around the perimeter of the dial. The visual effect is impressive.
The case band shows vertical gadrooning that has been used on previous pieces in the Objets D'Art Collection.
The case measures 41.6mm x 12.6mm and is crafted in white gold. The reference number is PFH996-2010001-300181.

The movement side of the watch is truly spectacular. Words don't do it justice . . . the photos speak for themselves.
The watch is said to draw inspiration from a pocket watch by Perrin Freres that is in the Sandoz Foundation collection of timepieces. The Sandoz family is the majority owner of Parmigiani Fleurier.

The Carillon Tourbillon is an extraordinary creation by Parmigiani Fleurier and a fitting tribute to the brand's 30th anniversary.
