I believe the Chronometre Bleu is a keeper and is one of the best 3 handed manual watches available in the market (Roger Smith, Philip Dufour and Kari Voutilainen are at a different level in terms of price, exclusitivity and movement finish). Irrespective of what other watch you will be getting, you should keep this watch and perhaps sell off something else from your collection if you need to finance the deal. And yes I agree with you that this is the Journe to have not just for the rare case finish, the exquisite movement, the changing colour of the dial, the accuracy, the wearable size at 39mm, the demand that constantly exceeds supply......................
Have a safe flight. The fog will clear. I work from the 32nd floor in London and I cannot see a thing outside but this has been the norm for the last 4 days and it tends to clear by 11am.
Best wishes,
Sham

The bleu is definitely still in production but has a long waiting list. What is not in production are the 38mm models which have been discontinued. Pity really as they were a good size.
