Ming just announced a new watch, a second go at the moonphase in the form of the Ming 37.05 Series 2.
I happened to be around for an in person “trunk show” Ming held over the weekend. Thanks to the The Armory for hosting, my second watch event at The Armory in the last few months.
It was good to see some old Ming faces, and credit to Praneeth who not only remembered my face but also the Ming watch I was wearing when I last (first) met him, the strap that watch was on and the watch which was on my other wrist that day.
This wasn’t last week or month, it was 2019. And it was the other side of the world. I also met some new Ming faces, and each were as welcoming and open as Praneeth.
We had a little chat about how things are going, and where things are heading. There’s definitely enough in the near term pipeline to have me “watching this space”.
You can the wrist shots of the new watch below. It was, as expected, great on the wrist. Comfy, relatively svelte and aesthetically pleasing as all Ming watches have been.
My only complaint, a rather overused one. The date window. For some of us it’s a pain in the eye, for others it’s the reason they buy a watch. Honestly, I’d have bought this new release if there was no date window.
Anyway, here’s some pictures. I’m sure some folks here will be ordering one tomorrow. I believe there are 500 watches so I’m sure enough for all.
