Another independent that has piqued my interest, especially their Georg:
Although the brand initial offerings took inspiration from pocket watches, this was their first attempt at a rectangular piece:
With their trademark triple lugs and onion crown, the case is beautifully curved, albeit a little on the chunky side:
Looking at the engine room, we see the stunningly and superbly executed in-house Calibre VIII, manual wound movement:
The white two-layed ‘Grand feu’ enamel dial with a recessed sub-seconds dial is also superbly executed. Overall, I was quite impressed by this “under the radar” German manufacturer!🥂

I got the Friedrich iii but can’t get this one out of my head, that caliber visits me in my dreams. I’ll just have to go and try the watch in metal as I suspect it’s going to wear big on my puny wrists but… maybe I won’t care and buy the damn thing just to be able to look at that gorgeous engine room.

I would definitely recommend it. It’s a special watch and I don’t leven like square or rectangular watches.

While under the radar...
Production is in the low hundreds (200/300) per year, there will be a piece or 2 with the AD once in a while. If you would like order one, delivery could take 1.5 to 2 years.
They are a nice bunch to deal with and client service is top notch. I got more help and info from L&H than from the AD when there were issues with my order for the Friedrich III.
Definitely worth your consideration if you are looking for some solid German precision and craftsmanship.
The Georg is a brilliant watch!
I’ve known Marco since 2004, been an AD since then and have visited the atelier several times. Suffice to say, I’m a fan😉
