I find the aesthetic really 'off' in an unpleasing 'loud' way.
Also, I'm not exactly sure if that watch really works as what it meant to be.
My watch mentor, Bernard, loves that watch but I have to disagree with him on this one ;-)

I thought about the Freak, as you seem to love original and strong watches...

The Freak is indeed an original watch, and the point is that the Freak can speak loud, very loud to some, and disturb others...

The most important is that the watch has to speak to you.

If this is not the case, don't go on it, for sure...

As Bernard, I'm a big Freak Lover, but I'm not you, and we all here have different tastes in watches....Which make the richness of this site!

It is possible. Every year, I keep looking at that watch and everytime I say try again next year, not NEVER ;-)
So it is possible I may fall in love with it. If I do, it will be a very strong affection.

You have a Rolex from Biel,  an Urwerk from Geneva, how about a Lang & Heyne from Dresden ?
A completely different tradidtion and esthetic.

ThisTrio is about Time only pieces, really simple. Hence the decision is either Dufour Simplicity or Kari Observatoire or something simple and extremely nice
that I might have missed out ;-)

a masterpiece from either Kari OR Dufour would indeed make that a complete time only trio collection. Each part exists to fully complement the other. The Milgauss with the anti-magnetic properties coupled with the new beefy bracelet from Rolex results in the nearest thing to an ultimate daily beater. The Urwerk in TiAn coating=its light weight, almost indestructible coating, avant garde way of telling time, lovely, beefy and very comfortable strap in a brownish hue results in the ultimate cool watch. Now having an ultimate daily beater plus an ultimate cool watch, add on a basic, classic timepiece and way of telling time from the ateliers of either of the two MASTERS of finishing, definitely results in THE COMPLETE TRIO COLLECTION, one that will wear well with age.

Congrats CL. With either of those two you have mentioned added onto the ones in the pic, you will have reached, for me at least, the APEX of a TIME ONLY watch collection. Perfectly concise, perfectly cool, perfectly complete, perfectly CL

One from a major producer (THE major producer...) the other in very limited supply; one round, one not; one on bracelet, one on leather; one SS, one TiAlN; one manual, one automatic; one three hand, one no hand; one time only, one with chrono and power reserve; one a re-edition of an old tried and true design, one a finesse of an utterly novel expression of genius - etc., etc., etc..  This seems an unusual question from you -  whose thematic collecting is the stuff of legend. Is there a silver/silver masterpiece that you have not yet owned? The Pisa, the FPJ, the Ref 96 and so on?

When your Simplicity arrives, and when your KV arrives, it will be back to business. Some lucky collector will have the chance to pick up a very fine Milgauss in perfect condition (lovely watch that it is), and we will be looking to you as the bell-wether of fine taste in collecting. In the meantime, will Klings work in platinum?

indeed not similar and that exactly make them into a 'collection' of its own
I always imagine if I can only have extremely limited watches, what will they be?
After some extreme thinking and editing, I know that they must be wearable, highly functionable and pleasing to the eyes.
The Milgauss is the best 'daily beater'....as it is in metal bracelet , tightly waterproof, suitable to be in any climate condition.....and at a price point that will
not hurt the bank or make me worry that it is bang on any object. It is a watch that one wears and go, very simple, very casual , very relax and yet something special.
The URWERK (also a stainless steel) is one good conversational piece that is highly wearable and very chic looking.
It shows a very casual chic character. It has a dashing appeal. It is also a very simple watch.
Both watches tells time only on the dial and none has chrono function.
The Third watch that falls into this category must also be simple and it should be more classic looking.
And it has to be what I think is 'the best' in that particular selection....so far I shortlisted Kari and Dufour.

The fun for me in this hobby is to have a highly focus and yet extremely wearable (meaning they can be oftenly worn) collection.

I don't have the RG or PT piece, but a SS piece is just as good and beautiful. I simply love this Portuguese Jubilee!!!
