A wonderful watch indeed. Any detailed information on the balance? Its size, design, location and colour coordination with the case all seem innovative features. It would be fascinating to learn more about it. It seems to define the watch's appearance.

The profile views of this dial are just WICKED!  A very exciting design.  Congratulations to the MB&F team on this "one".  I'm moved.

as opposed to "appreciating" or finding "interesting" or "innovative", I actually like this piece as a watch.  I find the barrel cover and ratchet wheel oddly incongruous though, their antique ancestors would never have been so plainly decorated. That aside, quite a triumph for MB&F and one that will do much to help them from falling into a typecast niche

entire experience, the LM1 seemed to give me an Owl like wink, since it truly just came back to us, with a little bit of the future.

I cannot tell a lie -- I affirmatively disliked MB&F's prior offerings. This, however, shows a maturity of judgment combined with innovation that leaves me smiling in a big way. I was immediately reminded of why the original Journe Resonance is so much more evocative than its present iteration, but here that is only the launching pad. The three dimensionality is sophisticated instead of Buck Rogers, the implementation of the power reserve is cool, cool, cool and yet practical, and the whole piece just glows with creativity. A major league triumph.

Amazed!  

For its novel design. It seems a bit large to fit well on my wrist, and likely quite unaffordable.

What would happen if Max travels back in time! Wow.... so this is the answer!

I like the idea of Max's exaggerated style crossed with century old tradition. Well done!

And the movement finish is impressive! Can see strong evidence of Kari's talent there!

Given the size and appearance, this may be quite a time piece on the wrist! Whether it will work or be a large statement, I can't tell.  And like so many others, while I've handled MB&Fs before they just have not struck a cord.  I'm not sure this does strike a cord beyond the "wow, really interesting and lovely job" but I would want to see it in the metal to be able to decide.  My gut tells me it would be interesting but not a watch I'd feel a need to have but, if I've learned anything yet on my foray into watches over the last year, it's that pictures don't always tell you everything!

There's something really romantic about this watch.  The white gold version in particular is stunning.  I love how it fuses pocketwatch sensibilities with the futuristic style that MB&F has been known for.

Can some experts here please share your view on whether the placement of the balance wheel on the centre of the dial will have bearing on the accuracy of the performance rate?

models, but this is excellent.  I love the various levels/depth of the dial and the balance wheel with its mounting looks great.  Even with the classical base for the design it is not hard to believe it is an MB&F watch.  Very imaginative.

I will see it live though.

The back is so appealing ,one of those movements that make you weak in the knees.

The front and the whole watch concept is a bit disappointing.The size is a bit big but fair enough.I do not understand the dual time complication really,I can t see the charm of it in this watch,it seems a bit bland considering this is the first"real" watch from MB&F.

The power reserve is ugly and so the fonts used on the bottom.I like the balance on top of the dials,but I find the overall layout uninspiring compared to the usual MB&F concepts.

As I said the back of this watch is to die for but the face is disappointing.....to be seen though,many times I ve changed my mind ....

I was lucky enough to have a play and try on both models earlier this week... all I can say is that I love it!   The watch is really well proportioned and a comfortable size, the finish is to die for!  The balance wheel on the front is definitely the heart beating and the dials are beautiful too.  The crystal is not too domed actually and looks cool.

As a normal MB&F wearer, yes this is a more reserved model where a HM1 or Frog might be a little too much, for that reason I love it.  Its still got the flair of the HM models but that also has the charm.

Finally, I am not normally into rose gold watches... but in this model it might just be the one I will get!

Would love to see the LM1 in person.  I have never seen anything like this, absolutely stunning.

I prefer the white gold version as the 3 dimension effect is more visible when viewing from the top.  The colour combination is more harmonious.

LM1 is very wearable, its winding mechanism is very smooth and the balance wheel gives you Haldimann's tourbilion effect.

Naturally, I compare LM1 with FPJ's Resonance. With one movement, LM1 genuinely synchronizes the dual time dials.

However, I prefer the dials to be enamel dials.  I am also concerned over shock resistance of LM1.  I believe it is a massive job to keep the balance wheel "balance".

Overall, Max has done it right.
