You are correct Horo. One can never expect to be able to hold them to strict limitations.
That's how these things are. Limited Editions are only as limited as the next one.
But I really don't like this one.
Although I haven't seen this one in the metal, the proportions on the dial leaves something to be desired. It's not "BEAUTIFUL" and once again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think many will agree that it's not an example of Kari's finest work.
I'd like to say, as a connoisseur, I would only welcome the finest pieces with the most beautiful designs into my home. And I am pleased to state that I won't be allocating my money on this one. And I don't believe I will be warming up to it. There are some things that you warm up to, like the first Bangle-designed BMW car and the first Mercedes-Benz CLS car, designs that were eventually warmed up to - they looked strange in the beginning almost alien, too modern. And while I didn't LIKE them, I didn't DISLIKE them, and after eventually warming up and embracing a more modern design concept I did eventually like them and now I'll sing praises about both of them (with full disclosure that I didn't like them in the beginning). With this particular watch, I'm starting at the dislike, and I don't expect to warm up to it.
Yes, you can call me close-minded and stubborn about this watch.
