Tis the season for fun watch events!
This last Saturday I was lucky enough to be invited to a Grand Seiko event at Ben Bridge. Unfortunately I arrived a bit late and missed the sushi although I did still manage to enjoy a number of Japanese whiskeys (Yum!),

I happened to wear the same blue snowflake as the GS exec!
the effects of which clouded my aging brain enough to forget to take more pics. In particular I should have photographed the watch making station where you could see if you had any watchmaker genes in you
and the caligraphy station where a skilled Japanese lady would make you a sign of your name and "Grand Seiko" in Japanese script. Quite a large crowd showed up! its always fun to chat watches with new people...
They had the new "red bamboo" high beat also but it got snapped up in a hurry!GS prototypes and Credor

Nikka?... oh wait that was one of the whiskeys. Actually I'm fairly sure the rep said that one was a prototype. It was a stunner! I did just dig up a very similar piece (same?) on Monochrome
and its ref # is SBGD202.
