There is a beautiful one in Japan, the same one as I posted actually.
It is hard to understand, but these pieces do not sell well.

Seldom has a 42mm dress watch looked so good. Credit to the lugs! And I have always loved that dial. Enjoy your special timepiece. Many would not consider a watch from Van Cleef but this watch is an excellent creation by any standards. If it was a Piaget, it would have won accolades!
Yes I am aware of that
But a Piaget on the dial would have resulted in this watch being more popular. It is therefore a stealth dress watch as it has a good movement with a brand that is less well known for its watches. It makes the watch even more exclusive.
I think this is the first post I’ve seen of any VcA watches and it looks really nice!

What is the reason why huge amounts of money gives confidence a watch must be very good?
I know watches which are a bargain and build like a tank and wear like a silk bracelet.
Are we sheep?
Joe have a Patek, we all must buy a Patek.
Are we sensitive for status?
We want to be that famous actor who get all the pretty women.
Original characters always go their own way, like Andy Warhal wore a purple Piaget.

I didn’t know VC&A has such an elegant man watch.
It makes me check out their Pierre Arpels Collection. They have this beautiful Heure d’Ici & Heure d’Ailleurs which is an elegant implementation of a dual time complication, with double jumping digital hour display and retrograde minutes. Definitely a watch that I would love to add one day.

The watch has a manual-winding mechanical movement by Piaget (830P) with 60-hour power reserve
and the case of the 42mm (or 38mm) is 6,5mm.

Very good question
From any other brand, I would probably have picked the 38mm model, in general, I prefer smaller watches.
But when I saw them both next to each other, the 42mm case did it for me.
The fact that you do not feel the watch on your wrist, helps a lot too.

VanC and A are far more talented than this one... their jewelry is breathtaking, and I do not 'care about ' jewelry. They make me notice jewelry. This watch is 'meh.'
