Vintage Specialist Request
Hello, I'm interested in purchasing my first vintage watch. Since I don't have much experience in this area, I would appreciate some advice. A friend of mine is considering selling his extensive collection of vintage watches, and I have narrowed down my choices to two models. Could someone recommend a vintage specialist whom I can consult with?

Well, if you are looking for values...
You can check the 'Bay for the Dionis. There is the same one for sale there. The Omega has a replacement dial or refinished dial and new hands so looking at the 'Bay again for older Omega Seamasters with funky dials will give you an idea.

Posting a request for information on WPS is no replacement for doing your own research! It's also much more rewarding to do your own research as well, as the journey will introduce you to special facts about these pieces that may tip you in favor of or away from acquiring them!

Street prices and seller references: Connoisseurship, ownership and collecting is about much more than price and who sells what. Price and seller discussions tend to overwhelm the other more subtle, though equally important, aspects of the aficionado experience. Therefore, any posts with street/market prices as the primary subject must be submitted to a moderator for review first. For similar reasons, seller references must likewise be reviewed by a moderator before posting.
Hi, the value of the watch will depend on different aspects
For the Chrono Dionis: is it plain gold or plated, what kind of movement, a basic Landeron, or a column wheel ?
As mentioned, the prices are easy to check on Ebay and Chrono24 (chrono24 label prices are usually much higher than actual peer-to-peer market).
For the Omega, as mentioned, the dial is not original, you can find 100s of these around to give you a value. Same there, check whether it is plated or solid gold, which will affect the value.

Buying vintage is about waiting for the right one…
And buying only what you truly like.
In my opinion most vintage purchases, excluding rare highly sough Rolex or Patek references, will not be good financial investments.
If you are polling the audience, perhaps you should hold off and do some research into a brand that intrigues you and search for the perfect specimen piece that you know you will want to own.

I appreciate everyone's advice. I'll consider it when buying my new/vintage watch that makes me happy when I wear it. My intention is not to make it an investment, just want to have some fun with it.
Do the Omega....
While the dial is beautiful, that movement is not great within the other piece that your interested in. I have had that movement fully served and it is still pretty unreliable.
