The Patek 3970 is one of the greatest PCC for me.

The interest and attention has moved to 3970 lately, as the "trend" is being led to "smaller" watches and marketing/business minds are quick to associate it with 1518s.
For me 3970 is very different from 1518.
As I have a small wrist, the 36 mm size is attractive and when I was finally able to try one on, I could see that it isnāt too thick, as is often said.

It's been the Lange Datograph Perpetual WG for me for a while. Had that Langematik Perpetual and a regular PT dato before that.

The WG Grey Dial is stunning, and Pt Silver dial resembles the mysterious Datograph Pisa...all are great watches.
I just wished the moonphase window is a little bit bigger...and a longer power reserve (PR), although I now settled from newer 1815 60hr PR to 1st gen Dato's 36hr PR.
Pt Dato is also very powerful looking watch, the iconic look, maybe someday I will swap this RG version, but I do like a lighter dial as you noticed.

Fantastic and logical trio of fabulous watches. A perpetual calendar, a chronograph and a watch combining both functions. It is often said as a great compliment:
āPatek is Patekā. It also often said āLange is at least as good as Patekā. I guess that sums it up pretty well. Enjoy! Best, Patekova
