I’m a firm believer in the alignment of stars and I feel stars aligned in this opportunity to make our Miami vacations coincidental giving us the opportunity to meet which I had been waiting for so long.
It was also a big pleasure and honor to meet you and agree with you that our Forum is full of wonderful people and the greatest pleasure it brings is to be able to meet them in person.

I love the size, small seconds at 9, and crystal. It’s basically a friendlier sized Fiddy. Honestly, on the website I wasn’t so sure about the smaller hour numbers going all around, but in your real wrist shot it looks awesome! Looking forward to more pics when you get the chance.

But I have worn other Panerai with similar straps in other occasions.
A few immersions in water didn’t do any harm.
But I try to wear other straps materials (rubber/nylon) when wearing my Panerai in water.
We should remember that original watches by Panerai were worn with leather straps by military divers.

One thing I recently noted to myself was that I have a little leather bracelet with a pearl stitched into it that I often wear on vacation. Never does it occur to me to take it off for swimming! And at the same time I'm changing the straps on my Panerai so that I only go in with rubber, not leather. Very strange behavior!

We take excessive care with our watches.
I have seen many diving watches that their owners would not get in the water of a pool and much less in the sea afraid of getting a scratch or water inside! Lol!
I have worn other Panerai with leather straps in pool and sea and of course every modern diving watch I own has gone to the sea.
I only take care of vintage diving watches as I don’t know the condition of their gaskets. And I don’t feel it is worth to risk a costly vintage watch having modern watches available in my collection.
Let’s enjoy our watches at full!!
