Still remember the day when I first saw the prototype - that was before they were the established brand they are today - and decided to go for both the blue and anthracite dial ones.
Great size, titanium, the digital guilloche dial made of sapphire and a truly unique design language that they have wonderfully evolved over the years while keeping it immediately recognizable, all sang to me. And it was a rare case of a βbargainβ at launch.
While I wear the newer Mings more these days, the 17.01 is still an interesting piece. At the original price point one could not expect strap perfection - something easy to change (and that has been sorted right out of the box at the new price point nowadays) - and the hands and other elements have improved from iteration to iteration.
But the charm is still there, just like at the first viewing ππ»ππ»
Any other Ming owners out there?
