With Valentine's Day just ahead of us,it would be interesting to see or hear about your thoughts on watches that evoke a sense of romance or that are emotionally linked to such an experience in your life.Whether it be an old fashioned candlelit dinner with your spouse/lover/mistress, an intimate chance encounter with an old flame or just a walk in the park with your loved one. What were the the timepieces you were wearing at the time or that you envision wearing in such a romantic liason?
After viewing a few nostalgic classic romance movies lately, I couldn't help but wonder what the leading men/lady had on their wrist at the time to suitably complete the scene.
In my opinion, it would be a simple piece with subtle elegance that doesn't draw too much attention to itself, serving its function as a prop and not the main character. It would most probably be in a yellow metal which will exude a warmth glow in soft lighting.I can think of quite a few, even modern timepieces that will fit the bill. Let's see what you have in mind or is there something you possess that conjures up such an emotion?
A couple of examples that works for me:
Looking forward to your contribution, whether it be a happy recollection or pics.

pieces Nico. I also wish I could say the Squadra Reverso Duetto I gifted my wife for her B' day last December qualifies for this but I have just been informed it will be stuck with Richemont for yet another week or 2. This is since early Dec last, 2 days after her B'Day.. sigh... :-(
Wishing you and your Mrs Nico a lovely Valentine's Day. We celebrate the Chinese New Year on 14th Feb as well..
Being in a special place, with that special person and wearing an exquisite timepiece is a truly memorable experience! I'm glad you have the pics. to bring to us that unforgettable moment in Venice & Marrakesh! A watch that evokes an emotional response of shared experiences and happy times is priceless!
I have no doubt you are an utter romantic at heart, being French & living in Paris - something we all should make time for.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Best

That's certainly why, for People like you and me, and all our friends, here, a watch is more than a watch!
Best, my friend.
Vlad Dracuuul.
BUT please don't shout to all the world that Vlad Dracul is a romantic...How people will be afraid of him, after, eeeh?
Do you want me to loose my job?
Best, my friend.
Vlaaaaaaaaaad.
Beautifully done, as are all of your photos with wonderful architectural backgrounds.
Now about that hair removal regimen...
Best,

The first one is the Blancpain 2006 St. Valentine LE (99 pieces); the second is the "original" Parmigiani Kalpa Piccola Joallerie with the automatic FP movement.
Hope you like 'em -- my wife does!
