To start this thread, I will post 2 of the most famous of them, but there are so many to feature here.

To make it short, it was a system patented by Mr ERwin Piquerez, in 1956, to ensure a great water resistance to the watches case.

Often, but not always, these Super Compressor watches share the same shape of the case.

As we'll see.

Now I think I understand.

Is it  that there is an internal rotating bezel or just that the case is compressed more tigthly together then normal or both?

The Longines was a " love at first sight ".

When I saw it for sale, I knew it had to be mine, specially with this aesome dial.

There are maaaany others, my friend.

For the moment, the 42 mmm super compressor cases are spotting, and to be honest, they are my favourites.

Let's wait and see how this post will develop, indeed!

I got really lucky as I bought it from the original owner a couple of years ago.

 I had the plexi replaced, and managed to find the steel bracelet as well to help cope with the hot climate over in my hometown.

i didnt ann my Tissot T12 worldtimer as i dont think its a supercompressor case. it might be, but i'm not sure.

the funny thing is that i didnt know it was a supercompressor until i posted it. Bill Sohne then pointed out that it had the ref numbers for a supercompressor and was a pretty uncommon piece being a single crown version.
