Was looking at some movement from several brands and wondered which one I like the most.
If money didn't matter, which one do you think is the most beautiful ?
I saw Lange, Patek, Breguet, Blancpain, independants ….
And this one was my favorite
the way it is build, the finishing, the … I absolutely love it

I think
I need to divide that
in at least two categories
Most beautiful simple - time only movement
and most beautiful movement with complications
and I think that most beautiful round and rectangular movement
should have their own categories
I have few more divisions in mind
but allow me to make shameless theft

Patek for me
I agree. There is just something about the graceful lines and curves of the Patek chronographs that, IMO, make their movements the most beautiful--beyond even Lange's chronographs (although the double split is a wonder to behold). But of course the Lange is teutonic and the Patek is swiss. Lange is more austere and technical vs. Patek which seems more fanciful and graceful. I personally have always loved the swiss expression more.
But for a simple hand-wind serially produced piece, I'd give the nod to the Richard Lange.

but if we talk about Patek, I would go for this one ...
cal. 27-525 PS (or ... Q). It is probably the best you can get from Patek, today.

as a GP fan, my dream movement is this Rattrapante, GP-modified Venus 179 movement. Found in Ref 9012.

That is a beautifully finished movement.
But have you seen the Montblanc Villeret movements? Especially the 16-29 movement. Mouthwatering.
I could argue that this movement may be even more beautiful in person.
But your Patek Philippe movement is exceptionally beautiful. I love the polished column wheel cap.
For me - unobtainable, unique: the Piguet/Muller/Gerber watch...

Besides the Pateks, here are 2 Montblanc Villeret Minerva movements and my Lange Datograph movement.

And sure enough the Datograph Second alongside Mr. Dufour's Simplicity.

Breguet pocket watches from the old master have some amazing architectures thinking of some "in line" calibers or souscription, the job done on the Tradition is very good imho, and in that idea Journe with his latest Tourbillon had a beautiful tribute.
That one shows nothing but I can't help loving it.
In vintage, Vacheron Chronomètre Royal handwind caliber and ultra thin minute repeater, Patek chronograph 13-130 and so many others

Lange wins for me, shocked nobody has mentioned these
I see a number of rattrapantes, but surprised to see no Lange rattrapantes
