adjustable rotor technology ???
i've always noticed the "adjustable rotor technology" on the rotor of the RM watches, but has anyone ever had these arms adjusted? i would think it would be trial and error finding a proper position and would take several trips from switzerland and back to even get close to adjusting and even then would it have any effect considering the watch is unidirectionally wound and "freely spins" the other direction regardless of the rotor position.
very curious because this setup seems unused by all, unlike the similar system in URWERK that used air pressure to slow the rotor movement under heavy use.

Many doubts about this technology, it's not a strap so you can't adjust it like that !
You must open the movement etc.
But I'm curious to see if any of the owners have made (and seen !) the changes.

I've had the rotor adjusted on a RM010. I must be a bit lazy as I was noticing that my watch stopped after a few days of wearing it: not enough movements during the day time to compensate for a full 24h wear and sleep cycle.
I've asked RM to adjust the rotor while the watch was going away for regular servicing (to UK European service center, not Switzerland). Watch came back adjusted one position away from the center position and my power reserve issue was gone!

You know I thought, fairy tale as well, design for designs sake, bet nobody ever bothers moving them about . But then when I met up with Denis from the Paris Boutique I asmed him about it and he said quite a few have been adjusted along the way, so heyho appears to be a good desgin afterall, nice to hear DMS found this the case too.

I would say it is there, and ...
owners are free to set it up. Maybe factory settings are fine for most of the owners' activity level.
But I really don't consider it as useless as some owners may wear a RM for sports only or when at home and thus needing more rewinding power.
Of course, if you get it serviced each 3 or 5 years maybe the wear on the display will not be significant.
But yet it is not faery tales for me.
