Jaeger Lecoultre Rose Gold Master Minute Repeater 1833 Edition ( 2008 ). A cleaned picture.
I am not a fan of rose gold watches when they are big and thick like this Master Minute Repeater, but here, the combination of this metal and of this very modern open dial is spectacular and eye catching.
Under this angle, you see the thick case, and the show offered by this very special dial.
Tradition with the choice of rose gold, modernity with the open dial, this is conform to the spirit of this innovative minute repeater.

Beautiful, just like its perpetual calendar cousin...
The case is big and bold; lacking in elegance, but still ok. A slightly more narrow bezel would have made a positive difference (pet peeve of mine, that bezel, lugs and case should be well-proportioned).

Slimmer lugs and case too... This case is outdated, in my opinion. For the rest, it is a bomb, and in titanium a bit better. [nt]

Designed at a time when bigger was better, or at least perceived as so (by some).
I still love this one and the perpetual despite its stocky proportions.
While the case dimensions/proportions (incl. the bezel) may have been dictated by its purpose -- i.e. it should be primarily a resonance chamber
for the minute repeater (I suppose it has a function despite the JLC attachement of gongs to the front crystal), and tuning up this acoustics is a real kabala, therefore I would not dare to be too critical as far as the case is concerned, I am sure that the lugs could have been designed in much more elegant form.
But still, it is a very impressive (in the positive sense) watch.

Indeed, function should drive form here...
but given that the design aesthetic was embodied in other JLC watches at the time, I suspect that the case design, particularly the wide bezel and lugs, was not driven by functionality.
I still very much like the watch, though.

To keep its its loyal customers happy with classic pieces, but press forward with the design direction that keeps the brand relevant in today’s world.

A superb example. And well liked in any metal, be it rose gold, titanium, white gold/platinum/steel. Nice architecture for a beautiful watch!
With this dial, there are " only " three metals: White Gold, Rose Gold and Titanium. There was also a titanium pvd one. And damn, you are right, a platinum for a famous SG AD. [nt]
