It says ARRET or MARCHE.
ARTET means, that the chrono is stopped; MARCHE means it is running.
For me, this is the most interesting Reverso currently ....
.... however, I still prefer its predecessor, the Gran Sport Chrono for its better legibility.

Correction Marcus, the GS Chrono came AFTER this Anniversary Reverso Retrograde Chrono so it cannot be the predecessor 😉. In fact, this model was the FIRST EVER manual wind NON round (shaped movement) lateral clutch column wheel Chronograph wristwatch !
I'm so sorry, I confused it with the new Tribute chronograph ...
... which also has a skeletonized chrono side, but no date or chrono running indicator.

Not only are the photos superb,
But the watch is in a league of its own. And so much better than the recent ‘reissue’.
That whole series of Reversos is - in my view - some of the best watches made by JLC, showing off all the skills of La Grande Maison in the shape of a minute repeater, a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar, the geographiqie, the soixantieme and this chrono.
I would kill for that box set.

This is for me a must have of the series. The Tourbillon remains on the Watchlist.
