They both look great but the perpetual calendar is particularly pretty.

I once came in for a spring bar.  I had one, but I needed two.  They took my spring bar, found a matching version, gave it to me, didn't charge me anything, and thanked me for coming in.  This was a Chinese lady employee at JLC.  They didn't grill me if I had bought the watch from their store, size me up and down, ask a dozen questions about my JLC purchase history (which I would've been happy to answer).  Nope, she was helpful, efficient, and as soon as she was done with me, she went on to help another client at the store - it was a busy store.  It is definitely a great store!  In general, most JLC stores are pretty good and friendly.  Paris (quiet but upbeat salesperson I met), London (efficient and helpful), Geneva (assistant manager gentleman was a total strap lover and we talked about straps for 10 minutes straight), NYC (very friendly lady watchmaker), and Beverly Hills (offered me and another WPS member water three times).  No complaints about JLC watch stores.  Oh!  One complaint.  All the stores - except for the Geneva store - did not have chocolates!  The store would be better if they had a jar of Swiss chocolates waiting for me!  

I also agree about the Swiss chocolate. We fly with Swiss mostly because they hand out chocolate at the end of the flight!

Swiss has become a mediocre airline in some ways - it used to be better.  Long haul flights out of Zurich are still okay, but the shorter flights are quite bad.  Flights out of Geneva are getting awful.  Sometimes I want to take a train back to Zurich from Geneva and fly out of Zurich!  But yes!  Chocolate solves many problems!  Have you been to the Lindt factory in Zurich?  It's nice!  They've got a museum!  Very objective museum that is not overly promotional of Lindt.  

I have never been to the Lindt factory but we did the Lindt experience at the Verkehrshaus in Luzern. It was good but I don't really like Lindt chocolate! It has a slight after taste that I find unpleasant. Lindt is also readily available in the UK and so it's not particularly special. I much prefer Caillier or Villars, neither of which are readily available in the UK. Caillier also has the history as the inventor of milk chocolate (although, from memory, I believe Lindt and others featured heavily in its development as well). Of course there are the small, Swiss artisan chocolate brands as well but my palate is not sophisticated enough to appreciate them. I am more than happy with relatively cheap and mass produced chocolate!

Lindt is very ordinary, but the museum in their factory is good!  I haven't been to the experience in Luzern!  I haven't noticed the aftertaste in Lindt chocolate.  Jacob is quite good.  Harder to get since it's a small producer.  Everyone is crazy for Laderach bark chocolate - I find it a little too sweet for me.  

Laderach is nice. The other brand I like is Venchi, but that’s Italian. They have a few shops around London.

What can I say, I like chocolate!  For Jacot, go for the 70% Ecuadorian chocolate.  It has some nice fruity and "round" notes.  The bar is well made and the tempering is always done well - evidenced by the perfect snap I get from Jacot chocolate.  And I just realized it's JACOT not JACOB.  The autocorrect will be the end of me!  

Will wait for the watches & wonder . Still waiting for my jlc Reverso steel Chronograph ..

Not to nitpick but doesn't a perpetual calendar normally have
