Thanks Gents for the advice. I would love to see the 'Honey' leather strap on your Polaris, is it for the 'Tribute' or the original? I was thinking that the Alligator(thanks Nicolas for clearing that up) would dress up my Memovox, but either way I just love the aesthetic of the light strap with black dial.

Question about JLC MC Memovox strap.

Unfortunately my dark brown strap broke the other day when a muscle bound friend was trying on my watch and rather forcefully took it off his wrist. However, I'm taking this opportunity to purchase the strap that I really wanted all along, the 'Honey Brown' JLC that I've seen in photos. I called my local JLC AD in Toronto, and they suggested that the 'Honey Brown' strap is Alligator, and is available 'shiny' or 'matte', but when I looked online it seems that it is actually Crocodile. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The original MC Memovox strap

I have one of those calf MC straps. Wonderfully supple, it is my "summer strap" for an El Primero.
Dje, make sure you get the size right !! Mine is 19 mm wide, while the Polaris calls for a 22 mm.
I don't know if its available in 22 mm !!!

Honey colored strap
My MC Geographic was packaged with a honey colored alligator strap with a matte finish. The strap pictured below is an aftermarket alligator strap, which is a little more orange/brown than the original honey strap. I am not a fan of the chocolate color straps that the Compressor line has been packaged with recently. I believe JLC changed the straps on the line in early 2006. Prior to the switch, the stainless compressors were shipped with a honey calf strap and white gold compressors with a honey alligator strap.
