I have largely been trapped at home these past few weeks due to the arrival of a new, little (Teething!!!) puppy to my household, but I made some time this past Saturday to meet an old friend for lunch (to which he wore an interesting vintage Russian watch which I posted here). After a brief, but festive lunch reminiscing about good times past, I was unleashed into a beautiful, sunny Southern California afternoon. What to do before heading back home?
The day was so pretty, and I just happened to be around the corner from "Richemont Row," as some affectionately refer to that section of Brighton Way in Beverly Hills that houses the boutiques of Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and IWC side-by-side, so I decided to stop by JLC and say hello.
As always, our friends at the JLC Boutique were warm, welcoming and had tons of fun items for me to see. Let's take a look, shall we?
1. Boutique Edition Master Hometime
Anybody feel like twins today? Well, check out these two beauties in rose gold and white gold.

Nicely applied numerals and indices.

Lovely circular graining in the small seconds display.

Matching rose gold deployant.
Here are pictures of the Master Hometime movement, Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 975H.

The Master Hometime is not just a pretty face! The movement is quite nice also.
2. Straps galore!
Our friend, Seth, at JLC Beverly Hills is the custom strap king! Here are some recent strap arrivals to the store.

3. Examples of custom engraving available for your Reverso

Speaking of Reversos, while I was at the shop, a Japanese gentleman visiting from Tokyo brought his quartz model in for a new strap. Very nice!

4. Ladies Reverso Joaillerie models
Here are some sparkling headturners I found at the BH Boutique. I don't collect women's watches, but if I did, I'd certainly be tempted by a few of these pieces!

I love the mother-of-pearl dial on this watch.

The carriage is nicely perlaged.

The crown is capped with a diamond to match the gem-set case.
Another example of a gem-set crown is seen below. The Reverso that follows features a cabochon sapphire in the crown.

Ice is nice!

Hmm...which dial do I like better? It's hard to choose from these two beauties. This piece would make a wonderful summer cocktail party accessory.
Diamonds! Right down to the links on the bracelet.
A diamond on the crown! Nicely done, JLC!

A diamond-studded dial! For any ladies who already have a Serti dial Rolex, this watch would make a nice addition to your existing collection.

The smooth verso side is just begging to be engraved with a secret message of love! I know, it's the romantic in me! LOL!

These Reversos make a pretty picture!

Not quite, but these scrumptious morsels were extremely delicious! The perfect way to end a wonderful, leisurely afternoon! Thanks to Seth at JLC Beverly Hills for giving me virtually carte blanche at the boutique to snap away with my camera.
Cheers,
Daos
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I always recommend that JLC fans check out their local boutiques. There's always tons to see and appreciate there.
Cheers,
Daos
It took me a moment to warm up to the MGUT -- mostly because there is so much to love from JLC, that I overlooked it, but I have to say I checked it out at length a few months ago and loved the way it looked on my wrist!
Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Daos
Thanks for sharing your latest visit. Daos. I really like your profile of the Hometime. I had not noticed the details of the 24-hour subdial before, and I really like how that was handled with the contrasting patterns. That WG with the dove gray dial is really lovely.
Love the idea of chocolate Tourbillons! I want some.
Hey, so whay kind of puppy did you get? Pictures perhaps???? Good luck with the training and teething.
respo
...a pretty watch, and a model that deserves to be held and seen in person to be appreciated. I think the dial JLC chose for the white gold Boutique Edition Hometime is stunning! It really captures light so well. The rose gold is equally stunning (I always like RG/black dial combos.), but in a totally different, dramatic fashion.
As for my naughty puppy, who has been chewing on everything, which has been tough because I am nursing a cold and have very little energy to yell, "No, no! Bad dog!" all day, here is a picture. He is a Labrador Retriever and turns 11 weeks old tomorrow. I love him!

Cheers,
Daos
...Labrador, I mean. He is just over a year old. They are the best if you can only direct their incredible need to chew toward appropriate chew toys, as your photo illustrates. That is an adorable pup. Best of luck on your new adventure. It wil be even better than watches. (I'll probably be banned form the site for writing that.)
respo
...better than watches! LOL! Now we'll both be banned! He is teething and biting everything, which is trying, but with a little patience and correction I think it will be okay. Thanks for your nice words!
Cheers,
Daos
That watch has been on my list of possible purchases for awhile. It will look great on a rubber strap IMO. Of course, it dresses up nicely too. I would love to see it on a black gator with double red stitching! Seth is the man when it comes to JLC custom straps!
Cheers,
Daos
PS -- my puppy looks like this:

English Mastiffs are great, and HUGE! My neighbors have two mastiffs. Initially I thought they were both Bullmastiffs, but one looks like a Dogue de Bordeaux ("Hooch" dog from the movie "Turner and Hooch"). I love giant dogs but could never fit a mastiff of any sort in my car. My dog is an English-type Lab, as well. He comes from a long line of great showdogs, so I have high hopes for him in the looks department!
You will have to share photos of your pups when you get a chance!
Cheers,
Daos
Daos,
Our lab was born in the Netherlands, but the sire was a champion from England, so perhaps our dogs are related. I'll get a photo of all three on the 'timeout' section this weekend after returning home.
--Sancerre
Maybe our dogs are related!
My dog's grandfather was the 2000 Westminster Kennel Club Champion, Ch. Lenches Teddybear. His 3-generation pedigree includes champions from famous American kennel, Dickendall, and Sandylands -- one of England's greatest Labrador breeders. I think my pup's breeders had a small twinge of regret about the fact that he was going to a pet, instead of a show, home.
I am, naturally, very proud of his lineage, but think it is more important that he grows up to be a happy, healthy, well-balanced member of my family!
Cheers,
Daos
...he's a little yellow boy Labrador. His name is Reign.
Daos

I should go on a diet, but I just like food too much!
Thanks for reading my post!
Cheers,
Daos
Haven't seen much of this (new) Master Hometime and especially in the boutique versions. Indeed a very nice watch with not only a nice, but for what I've read also a sturdy and reliable movement. What a way to spend some time. Grey market is allright, AD is much better, but boutique rules!
Cheers,
Starman
...is so sweet, Starman! The Boutique is a fun place to hang out for sure! The team at JLC Beverly Hills make all the difference IMO.
Hope you have a chance to check out the Hometime more extensively in the metal.
Cheers,
Daos
I love gray-dialed watches. This year's offerings from VC, for example, were tantalizing. So, it's no surprise that I love the white gold Boutique Edition Hometime! You should check out the straps at JLC BH -- they are gorgeous!
Cheers,
Daos
I like that watch a lot! It's very festive with the colors of the day indicator and blued hands in the subdial and power reserve.
Cheers!
Daos
Thanks for the tour or these JLC goodies. Daos. You are quite right about the grey dialed Master Hometime; very nice. I wonder what the grey strap would look like? Does anyone know where JLC source their OEM straps? Would it be from the one manufacturer?
I know swirls show up with the macro photography and under strong downlights, but I am surprised to see them so obviously on the jewelled Reverso's.
Andrew
...seems particularly harsh to me. All those little spotlights! I'm not 100% sure where JLC sources their straps, but like you I have my suspicions.
Gray is one of my favorite colors for watches (dials, straps, metals) so I was quite smitten by the white gold Hometime.
Cheers,
Daos
A Reveros platinum tourbillon skeleton on the right of the chocolate box?
Damn, Daos...There is a lot of nice stuff at the BH JLC Boutique!
Best, Sister, and thanks for thev share.
Say hello for me to Seth and My fav Belgian Girl!
Best,
Nicolas
I should've known to take pictures of it for you! Next time, brother! I will be sure to say hello to our friends at JLC BH for you. You are not the first WIS to declare Stephanie your favorite Belgian girl! LOL!
Cheers,
Daos
Don't tell nothing to Stephanie!
Well, it is another sign of Fate....This Reverso Platinum Tourbillon skeleton is waiting for me, I fear...
My banker too, at the corner of my street.
To me, it is simply the Number one of All the Reversos, a spectacular demonstration of JLC skillness.
Best, Sister.
