The long awaited brother of the other Polaris models has finally received some recognition.

Thank you Nicolas for the insight on a watch that I've never really seen before.

I am especially intrigued by the square luminous dot on the second hand of the Polaris II. Very special second hand.

Deep Sea Alarm, Polaris 65 and 68, and the Polaris II...

3 watches, 3 different styles, in a period of less than .. 15 years.

The interestin g thing is that each of them is a nice stylistic  representation of their era.

As for the Polaris II, I felt it was time to speak about it, as we don't often do it, indeed.

Not very photogenic, but lovely.

Those 70s designs, coupled with the recent feature on the new Atmos designs make me wonder if JLC could not extricate Mr. Newson from whatever exclusivity restrictions he might have under his arrangement with Ikepod in order to perhaps design a watch or two for the Manufacture. Perhaps he could prove to be the Genta of the early 21st Century . . .

The MM Deep Sea.

It would be very different from the current production, and very appealing, too!

Thanks for a great review.  I only recently joined the forum in an attemp to research a vintage Polaris that I have.  I continue to be surprised what I actually have.  I am not a collector.  Just interested in the history and the value of the piece.  In what little research that I have attempted I have yet to see an example of the Polaris with the steel band.  I am including pics and would appreciate any comments.

The JB Champion bracelet looks good to me.

Try to see if you can polish the plexy a bit, to enhance the beauty of the dial, but despite this small detail, you have a gorgeous example of LeCoultre Polaris from 1968.

Seeing all those beauties, knowing that I miss (I was traveling) this Snowdrop on a flea market here.

This one was "captured" by a dear friend and I borrowed for an entire week.

I love this roundness



I was not able to confirm everything about this watch but, at least on my inexperienced hands, it's look OK.
