Decisions...
I'm still trying to decide on my first AP and I was able to try on a few contenders at my local AD today: A white dialed 15400, a black dialed RO chronograph and the black dialed ROO Diver. I'm actually more interested in a black dialed 15400 but the AD didn't have one in stock.
I started out my AP quest with the Diver at the top of my list but the 15400 has slowly taken over top spot. Despite several suggestions to go for a 15202 instead, I think the 15400 is the better choice for me given its size and availability. It doesn't hurt that it's about US$8K less expensive either

I am in the same situation
(apart from the chronograph) - I am choosing between the white dial 15400 and the black diver. I tried the black 15400 on and I actually quite like it, but feel that the white dial shows off the tapisserie dial better (more colour shift).
The white dial has grown on me
The first time I tried it on I wasn't crazy about it, but I think that was because the AD's bright lighting caused it to look washed out. Today in natural light I really came to appreciate it. I think it's a bit more dressy/formal than the black dial and may not go as well with casual attire, but it really is very attractive.
Diver is the best, among those, because
i don't really like the new 15400.
The reason is simple and the photo depicts my mood.
The first time i saw it i thought it was a fake: no ratio between the caliber and case, looking at the back is a pain for my heart.
It's one of those watches i call ring cakes
The new chrono suffers from the same illness, obesity.
i'd suggest you to look for the old reference, 25860ST, it's even cheaper.
Among these three beauties, I vote for the Diver. Not really fan of white RO dials and this chrono.

The black dial would be my choice
The dealer didn't have one so I tried on the white dial.

If you really love the black dia on the RO it is better to wait for it. Listen your instinct and first love

I will wait for the black dial RO if I decide that the RO is the one. At this point I think it's a toss up between it and the Diver.
I have seen the white dial
As well as the Blue chronograph in person, currently I am enjoying my 152020 
I think the white dial lacks some contrast, it just have something missing, when I recently saw the boutique chronograph (blue dial) I was enchanted by its beauty. I think it will be my next AP.
The dark tapisserie reflects the light in such an amazing way, check it out if you can.

I'd love to see the blue dialed chronograph
Unfortunately I don't have a boutique near me. Hopefully I'll visit one soon and see some of the boutique only editions.

However, if I must choose one, I think I'd go for the RO Chrono with the black dial.
Among those three, I'd go for the DIver.
For me is one of the best looking Offshore watches ever, so balanced.
15202 would be a great choice too. I'm not a big fan of the "new" chronograph, the "old" 39mm chronograph was a very nice looking piece. Size matters.

Preference and taste are both subjective.

Wow, they all look good. Seeing all 3...
I do like the Diver best. Your wrist easily handles the 41mm Royal Oak, but from a dial standpoint, I prefer the diver a good bit.
The Diver is a beauty...
And I'm starting to once again lean in that direction. Perhaps I'll pick up the Diver now and wait until I have an opportunity to try on a 15202 before deciding on a more classic Royal Oak to add to the collection.

The date looks really tiny on them, meaning the composition of the dial is 'off.'
I never liked RO chronos, prefer ROO chronos, but they are too big for me.

Funny you mention that...
I did notice that the date seemed awfully small when I tried on the 15400 yesterday.

I have owned the diver and the 15300. I found the diver very comfortable, but a little too thick for me . I would knock it into things. I think the 15400 is a great size, but I prefer chronos.
This is what I ended up with , the RO Italy.
Love the chrono...
and the 'Italy' version is beautiful. I went with the 15400 as my first AP but one of the the Diver or chrono is likely not far behind.
