Comments:
The x71 is one of the more challenging bracelets to resize, and would be a bad choice for your first resizing attempt. The screws do not go all the way through the links, rather only hold the side links on, so you'll have to remove 4 screws and put 2 back in, and with the polished sides, there is a high chance of missing and scratching the bracelet.
Don't take this as a personal comment, I'd not reccomend anyone takes on a BP bracelet for a first try at resizing in the same way that one shouldn't try changing the strap on a modern Breguet or Chronoswiss until one has the feel for simplier schemes

Question re X71 Bracelet link removal technique
Hi everyone,
I am after some advice. I have just aquired a Blancpain Flyback with an X71 bracelet which I am thrilled to bits with. But I need to adjust the braclet by removing a link. I would prefer to do this myself if possible.
On examining the links they appear to be joined by screws rather than pins. I am worried that I may damage the bracelet or screws if I use an inapproriate tool.
I am considering buying a watch makers screwdriver for the job. what would be the best type/size. I have also seen a device which has two screwdriver tips to hold opposing sides of a link to assist removal/insertion. would this be a better bet?
I would appreciate any advice from members on what tools I may require and techniques used.

Simple
I've done this twice a year, every year I've owned my Flyback. It really couldn't be simpler.
Make sure you have a tray with a raise lip and non abrasive surface. Make sure your workspace is well lit and you have the right sized screwdriver. Have small tupperware containers to hold the links and screws. Note the polished and brushed links and keep them separate. Go slowly and be patient.
