Strange story…this watch fell 4ft and landed face down on a closet rail, probably aluminum, ouch 😓…yes, my heart skipped 2 beats…but amazingly, I did not find a single scratch or ding.
Then next day it ran 1 min fast every 10 min, so like 6-7min an hour…I thought its time to go back to factory. It stayed like this for 6-7 days and magically, it recovered to within COSC accuracy like before the drop. It’s been 10 days and still good.
Any experts can help explain?
I remember one member had similar symptoms but watch did not suffer from concussion…wonder if there is any update?

Can't explain. Get a timegrapher. Higher beat watches are just weird.
My Alpine Eagle XPS (salmon dial) also has weird timing. But you have to make a chart to have hard accurate information. For a new watch, it is probably my least accurate watch. BUT! That being said. It's still a cool watch. Right now it's been running for three weeks non-stop and it's 7 minutes fast! So that's on average probably around 20 seconds fast a day. Although it does seem about five of those minutes came recently. But I haven't been charting/logging the watch's accuracy lately.
Also, I find that high beat watches like Chopard's 36,000 vph and 28,800 vph watches are just not more accurate than slower beat watches like 18,000 vph and 21,600 vph. The higher beat is designed for people with more active lifestyles - the balance wheel is smaller meaning less inertia, meaning it's easier to shock. But the higher beat allows the accuracy to be recovered faster. I prefer the slower beat and not shocking the watch (I must have a very sedentary lifestyle). Also, a higher beat watch is sometimes more difficult to adjust in the various positions. And thus may run erratically in one position and run perfectly in another. Although my data below doesn't seem to consistently indicate any of this.

Oh my....that is die hard data collection, my friend....I probably won't have the energy to do that.
I typically set my watch to the second vs iphone clock (yeah, lol....) and then I checked every day once a while to see if it is still matching.
My experience with what I own is Rolex, Omega and Patek are very accurate (+/-2 s) followed by Lange (+/- 4s).
Chopard as you mentioned is not that accurate even it is COSC, but I guess 6sec is within the specs. This AE was ~8sec behind each day and I'm not too concerned as long as it's working within my tolerance but not 1min in 10min.

I used to accuse my watches of being inaccurate. I even accused watches that I reviewed on WatchProSite as accurate without sufficient evidence. So now, I keep A LOT of evidence! True journalist here!
Good luck! My Alpine Eagle is the weirdest watch I own when it comes to accuracy and consistency.

But I observed something very similar after I dropped my Speedmaster from the same height onto a tile!

Just smoky in my area. But we have friends/family that have been impacted. Some losing their home. Such a devastating tragedy.
The only thing I can think of is that something happened with the hairspring…
Perhaps a similar knock or vibration shocked it back into spec?
That is why another friend said, something to do with hairspring, like magnetized.
