Hello all,
Just to share my experience. Got my EoT about 2.5 months ago.
After two weeks of usage of the watch, I noticed that the watch was not realising its 60 hours of power reserve and needed more frequent windings. When I first bought the watch, I observed that the power reserve indicator didn't drop to zero but stopped just at the R mark. Initially I thought it was designed to stop at R. So I tested the watch and yes the stoppage at the R mark prevented the release of the last 7.5 hours stored up. But I must say the power reserve indicator is very accurate; every quarter drop of the power reserve yielded exactly 15 hours of running time.
To recitify this problem, it just needed a phone call to my watch dealer. He called me back the next day after speaking with the Chopard service center and confirmed that the Power Reserve indicator should hit Zero, like a car's fuel gauge. He gave me the news that Chopard would do a one for one replacement. All this was done over the phone without me having to bring the watch down at all. That was all it took to settle it!
This problem happens to other watch brands and is not unique to Chopard. And I would dare say that there is no brand of Mechanical watch that is not without its failure or faults, especially with new movements. But what makes me pleased and very happy is that it was settled quickly and I needn't go down to the service center and go through the hassle of sending in the watch(in some cases repeat visits) and dealing with the fault and haggling with service center staffs. If you haven't experienced it yourself, you would have most probably read about someone else's experience on the forums.
Anyway after 7 weeks, my new watch is finally here. I figure it must have been transferred from a boutique somewhere else in the world because it's Limited edition number is a single digit. But the strap is completely new and the watch looks unmolested.

You brought up a very important point which many do not know or even aware of it till 'issues' occur.
Definitely, we wish watches we newly purchased should be performing fine all the way till the next servicing period. However, as you mentioned, issues do happen for mechanical watches and for new movements. Though I dislike going through the returning process, it made me realise the importance of the after-sale-service of brands. This is where and when the true manifestation of the personality/character (true colour) of the brand shows.
By then, it is already too late for some to realise some just keen to sell their pieces and not taking care of the clients.
I am really glad for the fast turnaround of local dealer and Chopard Team in addressing your case.
It is nice to have a single-digit out of the 150-piece edition of the first L.U.C EoT to commemorate Chopard's 150th Anniversary .
Congrats again SC. It will be great if you could provide your impression of the L.U.C EoT, when you have the time.

PS : Talking about after-sale focus, Mr Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard, has a 'in-company-school' initiative to enrol and train batch of young apprentices every year which after their graduation (four years later), the apprentices are ready to work in the factories. After all it is not just about sale of watches, it is about to preservation of the traditional of watchmaking and also most importantly, a ready talent-pool to take care of the clients' watches.

Have seen the 2011 EoT in the metal.The white edition is definitely for the ladies. For the black edition, my wife and I couldn't agree what the exact colour was... khaki, grey, olive drab or charcoal. Very interesting this matt Titalyt® coating. But the colourful numbers isn't just me.
Not really good at writing reviews. The watch is nice and light, and the thick watch straps adds bulk to the watch making it nice and snug when you put it on. Another feature that's useful is the cut out of the strap, making the springbar accessible for strap changing (in case the wife wants to loan it, she loves the fact that its nice and light too). As with your review of this watch, much thought has been put into the overall design and in the details that makes the watch overall very well conceived. Further it's not too loud and nicely understated and goes well with any outfit that I am wearing. I also really love the look of the Chopard Tourbillon and the sound that it makes when it ticks=auditory happiness. Also very impressed with this unusual shaped calibre, which in itself is not common. But because of the metal blocks on the sides of the case, this tourbillon model doesn't come with the winding crank. Correct me if I am wrong but the hand crank was in keeping with Chopard racing tradition and to simulate a car starting crank, so its a pity the EoT doesn't have one. Having said that, the metal blocks at the side does definitely add more aesthetic value to the watch.

It is great that watches could be worn by both. I think you have mentioned an important point about the quick-change for straps with either the 'slide-able' springbars or a cut-out to easily access and removing the springbars. Most of the times, changing of straps also alter the look of the watch and best still could match the outfits, a basic requirement for ladies, and also progressively for guys too,
Sometimes, small thing tells a lot about a person and definitely about a company and the leader/s in the company. You raised an important point, about the the movement shape L.U.C 1TRM matches the super-ellipsoid case of the EoT.
Many companies would go around this type of non-round cases without spending extra money, by using an intermediate super-ellipsoid spacer (or holder) and placed a round-movement inside it to suit the non-round case. Smart, I think that's besides the point.
As for the crank, interesting question. The 'Winding Assistance System', is made for the model L.U.C Tourbillon Tech Twist. I am curious too as both share the same diameter crown of 7mm. Wonder if the W.A.S crank can be used.
However, I ever asked, Mr Karl-Fried Schefele, if the crank was inspired from the vintage race-cars, he replied it was not. Instead it is from sailing.
He (who knows vintage cars very well) does not wish to relate the crank to the vintage sportscar, as the kickback from the motor is extremely dangerous and could maim.
Perhaps that's a reason, the crank is not with the EoT. Now, will have to check if the crank could work on the EoT

I love the watch of course; it haunts me a bit.
But the key here is the customer service. You are correct; no brand is exempt from these sorts of issues. Especially with new movements and designs. I can think of a good handful of other brands that have had similar issues in recent years. I think the course of action for this sort of timepiece was absolutely correct by Chopard.

EoT is confusiing

First, Congratulations on your watch and the nice report of good service. It is important to also record after-sales experiences on this forum and not just praise the watch beauty.
I was confused for a while that you used "EoT" until I realised you meant Engine One Tourbillon.
Usually, EoT means Equation of Time, a super-complication that Chopard also has in their 150th anniversary All-in-One watch.
As the Engine One movement is a dedicated tourbillon design, maybe "EO" or "E-1" is sufficient. Not to be too 'geeky' on my part.
