This was a robbery as it was committed in view of the victim. Burglary is breaking and entering without the victim knowing.
It was also robbery with menace and thus 'armed robbery' .
I hope the Chopard employees and customers were not traumatised.
Having been in a London (Regent Street) jewellery & watch shop that was robbed while I was in the back room looking at watches, I know it was an unpleasant experience. A security guard was injured in the London job. I was uninjured but the experience remains........ as I am reminded today.
