The problem is not the watches. We had seen the steel ones at 50% off MSRP in the Singapore secondary markets.
The problem is inventory control and bundling of GP to get a Patek or FPJ.

My friend sold his for $18k.
I don't love the bracelet design on these, otherwise it was a great deal. Hell of a lot of watch for the money...

Yes but to be fair...
Almost all brands lose quite a bit of value. It's not a dynamic exclusive to GP. I like that anyways as it makes it cheaper for true watch nuts to hoard

As for “true watch nuts”, we all buy and also sell our preowned watches. So value retention is still important to me and most of the other “true watch nuts” I know.

Not for me
While I appreciate the fine craftsmanship from GP, and the inner workings of our timepieces , I’m much more interested in what they reveal for the 50th anniversary Laureato this year. Let’s get on with it already!
Same for me … the GP skeleton is nice
but it has become common. Too many on sale from dumpers in bundling deals with the ADs.
I think the 50th should be more interesting. I’m hopeful.

It’s a looker but agree that as a “new” release, it’s disappointing, especially given how much GP hypes it up! But a very nice watch nonetheless.

As for the “common” point, I’d like to clarify.
First of all, no offence meant.
By common, I meant that the laureato skeleton has been allowed to be treated with less awe and respect than it deserves.
Too many for sale on the secondary market from bundle and tumble deals. And it’s not as if they get snapped up … even at massive discounts to the MSRP.
