The dial, steel hands and markers are so legible in all light but I particularly like it when the sun catches at this angle and those little red numbers appear at the top of the textured sundials.

I think Girard Perregaux is another one of those very under appreciated brands for what they actually deliver and that has so much great history to look back at, Personally I find these older style GP's to be quite beautiful and functional and this one is no exception. Wear and enjoy yours in good health.

I totally agree. This is my 3rd after two 4940 which I believe have identical cases. The quality is unquestionable and 38mm is just perfect. I’ll get round to taking some shots of case profile and the exhibition back.
They were great watches. The prototypical chronograph. Great size, worked well. And fairly priced. Too bad they are no more.
Too good that they are no more IMHO
Makes them more collectible when they are rare.
