Youโve captured the dial color and texture perfectly ๐๐ป๐๐ป A rare bird indeed. Very nice too because GP did NOT introduce another grey dial time and date 38 mm recently , unlike they did with the blue dial variant recently ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Any news or timeline for the Laureato 50th? Cheers my friend! ๐ป
I remember recommending the grey dial to you some time ago but your heart was set on the blue dial. Either way, the blue 38 is beautiful as well. Prices are still holding quite well for the blue 38 mm as we havenโt seen they many of the new 38 mm blue on the market yet.
There are some folks that also prefer the variant with the โ1791โ on the dial.
Q4 this year is when we should see the new laureato Gen 6.
In the meantime, I think the rarer laureatos such as the laureato 8010(36 mm), laureato-olimpico 8017 chronograph LE (40 mm) and the laureato 81000 (41 mm) are getting more scarce. Possibly due to the run up to the 50th anniversary.
But if Iโm going to own one Laureato, we both know it has to be the blue! ๐ Q4 for the new 50th anniversary?? I canโt wait that long!! ๐๐ They really know how to build drama over there at GP ๐๐
There is no way that you would have known that GP was going to come out with another blue 38 mm. I kinda suspected it but was not sure.
The ramp up has started for the laureato with the reissue of the Deep Diver cushion case. The narrative over at GP is that the Deep Diver is the ancestor to the laureato. 14 sided bezel evolved to 8 sides.
I didnโt know that. Personally I donโt see the deep diver and Laureato sharing much DNA as far as the dials and case shapes are concerned. But maybe I havenโt looked close enough. Have a great day my friend! ๐ป
In ceramic, it felt too light and small for me. Strangely, with the rubber strap, it also felt too small for me. Even with a steel case. So, full steel or gold case and bracelet 38 mm for me only.
But I also like the 40 mm laureato-olimpico chronograph 8017 as well as the 41 mm LE anniversary laureato 81000
