I guess i can put it up again
Unfortunately, not mine=p

G'day,
personally i like the EVO Moon a lot, particularly the black variant. It´s such an interesting and unusual piece, very comfortable for it´s size and very nicely done. The case and bracelet indeed is very special and both are hand-finished, which i happen to like a lot. It´s a great watch for sure.
The only reason as to why it´s not mentioned more seems to be ongoing deliveries.
The EVO MOON (or ref. 80185) black dial is not available everywhere and the number of pieces delivered so far isn´t that large. From casual conversations and remarks i´m tempted to believe there are less than 500 Evo Moon´s delivered to GP dealers world-wide so far and the black dial seems to be appreciated very much. Actually some GP distributors in key markets do stock only 1-2 examples, because all coming in from Switzerland are immediately sold or even pre-ordered. That makes it hard to find and, just to give an example, a couple of weeks ago there have been only 2 unsold Evo Moon black dial units at GP dealers in Germany. German GP dealers maintain about 50 points of sales, so you may get the idea there´s really not an overwhelmingly great chance to see one!
Based on anecdotal reports from sales in GP´s main markets, it seems the unusual design and functionality is much appreciated way beyond "watch nuts". The Evo Moon is attracting a lot of more "casual" customers, who simply appreciate it being a fine and handsome watch to wear. This may be another reason why it´s picked up so fast, because it´s not just for "collectors" only.
Thus it´s not always seen in the GP dealer´s shelves (and if so, for not long), which makes it tough to find. The best thing to do, for those seriously interested in a black dial variant, most probably is to get in touch with your local/regional GP dealer and make sure you´ll be notified when a new watch comes in. Currently orders at GP Switzerland seem to surpass any production volume GP can do, therefore i´m tempted to believe the situation will continue to be like this for some time to come.
Thus better be safe than sorry
I´m very confident the same will happen towards christmas and end of 2007, when the ref. 49535 "Vintage 1966 Full Calendar" will be delivered.
There will be a number of units available right before the christmas business, but these won´t be available everywhere.
All those who are awaiting the "Nash watch" better ensure to receive a note whenever a piece comes in and then be quick; i´m sure all units delivered to the markets will immediately sell out and orders are wildly surpassing every production capacities at GP.
The situation is almost the same with the ref. 27610 "Day/Night Richeville"; that´s been much in demand as well and a long list of fix orders from GP dealers needs to be worked down.
Personally i´m quite confident the new ref. 49525 "Vintage 1966" dark dial versions and the new ref. 49860 "WW.TC Lady" will share the same fate as soon as these can be seen at the GP dealers. All of these are much nicer in nature than on pictures, particularly when worn. I´d not be surprised if a lot of customers will buy it on the spot once there´s a chance to gather personal impressions!
Cheers,
Peter

Looks great on your wrist and with the steering wheel!
And the tie with "For Your Eyes Only" is interesting:
In this 1981 episode, beautiful Cassandra Harris plays "Countess Lisl von Schlaf" (although only in the beginning). At that time James Bond was given by Roger Moore, who resigned from this career 4 years later. In real life, Cassandra Harris was married to Pierce Brosnan, who was engaged in the TV-series "Remington Steele" at that time. Reportedly Cassandra Harris introduced her husband during the recordings for "For Your Eyes Only" to Albert R. Broccoli, the producer of most Bond films. And subsequently, Brosnan (after the death of Cassandra Harris in 1991) entered the Bond-genre in "GoldenEye". Which not only was the first Bond role for him, but the first time a BMW as a non-british car was supplied for the hero!
Which brings us back to GP; a Vintage45 is among his favorite wears:

He seems to wear it quite frequently, as can be seen by the images of GettyImages and WireImages:

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the photos...never knew Brosnan was a GP fan...sure looks better then that Omega in the movie. And so it was the Z3 in GoldenEye, and thats why u were driving a Z3 right?
Are u agent oo8? Kidding...have a good day.
Regards
I think he is (at least that´s what is his wearing frequently).
But truth to be told, i really can´t tell; all these aren´t promo shots and actually there´s no relation between Mr. Brosnan and GP.
The Z3 is a nice car
I like the pre-facelift E36/7 series:

It´s got a really sexy rear

G'day,
the 80185 "Evo Moon" is listed with 42x12mm case size, but it´s 44mm including the crown.
Nonetheless, the absolute size is just half of the story!
It´s not small, but very comfortable even if one is drawn towards (much) smaller watches. That´s due to the very special case shape and the fine bracelet, which account for an elegant touch and comfortable wrist feel.
It´s one of the GP potential owners should see in nature; pics and measurements don´t tell and it´s MUCH nicer in nature!
Cheers,
Peter
Just a matter of perception, but i´m used to MUCH smaller watches and do find it very comfortable:
Laureato 80100 (36mm)
Laureato 80185 (42mm)
The profile may tell; it´s slightly curved, which makes it such a great wear:
Best to do is to forget paper specs and try one
I´m sure a pleasant surprise is ahead of you!
Cheers.
Peter
