As for the hands, well, I know you don't like Dauphine hands in general, but in this case, I find they work wuite well with the angular look of the bridges.

Girard Perregaux Tourbillon with 3 Gold Bridges Ref 99193.
What is an icon?
A Watch which left its mark on its era and / or which stands the test of time, that may be a good definition.
We could also say that an icon exceeds te brand it comes from, to belong to Horology in general.
In my opinion, the Girard Perregaux Tourbillons with 3 Gold Bridges is an icon.
The Ref 99193 is certainly not the most spectacular, nor the less desirable.
The only details which break the discrete and sober dials are these 3 gorgeous gold bridges whose metal matches the case ( rose gold bridges for the rose gold case / white gold bridges for the white gold case ).
Like if Girard Perregaux thought about finding a nice way to put the light on this full of DNA brand signature.
Even those of us who are not fans of automatic movements can be caught by this version. At first glance, do you notice the platinum micro rotor Under the upper bridge?
That is an example of perfect integration.
The volume of this Watch, I mean the size / height ratio will make it easy to wear ( 41 mm big / 11, 10 mm high ) for most of humans' wrists, and contributes to its natural elegance.

The finishing on those bridges are just exquisite! The hands seem too big on the close ups, thus blocking part of the beautiful view underneath but on B-mans WS they look OK. Hard to top this one with the micro rotor discreetly present on the dial side.

As for the size of the hands, this is due to the macro pic.
In " normal " pictures, as you can see, they are well proportionned.
One of the top tourbillons, a kind of GP sepcialirt, in the high end horology segment.
