A rare and beautiful bird, with its straight lugs, its nice patina and a touch of mystery as it certainly is one of the rarest Speedmaster Reference.

I've seen only two 105.002 refs in the metal, one that belonged to a local collector . . .
. . . and this one . . .
. . . at a Christie's auction ten years ago. Short production period, maybe six months altogether.

It looks like a quintessential Speedy (but I know so little about this iconic model)...

I've been collecting Omegas for at least twenty years . . .
. . . and have seen only two altogether, Emmanuel. There are even scarcer Speedmaster versions, like the Racing or A.C.P. or Ultraman, but I believe 105.002 has the narrowest production run of all references.

A bit more. I think 12/18 months, between 1962 and early 1964... This ref is a dream for me.
Somewhere between the 2998 and the 105 003. I don't know why they didn't directly jump to the 105 003 Ed White...
That really is a stunning looking Omega Speedmaster ST 105 002.
Besides the beautiful colour the lume has taken on those hands just look so good on a Speedmaster.
