I have always liked this style and have been fortunate enough to pick up this nice example in 14k YG.  I don't see this one very often and perhaps it is one of those watches that Bill will consider "uncommon."

hidden crown watches are very comfortable to wear - I have a Zenith automatic chronometer and an Eterna-matic...

you have some awsome watches in your collection!

This particular hidden crown one is not only comfy but has the added advantage of appearing bigger than its actual size due to the thin bezel.  The downside is that the small crown makes it a bit difficult to set the time.

but to be honest i wouldnt have referred to it as hidden unless someone else had first. recessed yes, but not a huge amount. it suits an auto as you shouldnt need to use the crown hardly at all if you wear it daily as i suppose they were intended for.

In Switzerland it is referred to as "Beetle" model (in German) or "Scarabee" (in French). With a little fantasy you can see why:

I just call it "Art Deco", although the name Scarabee sounds nice and exotic.

Very thin rumours have it that this type of case was designed or made in Pforzheim (Germany) - whether that is true.....?
