I know nothing on this reference, being too scared by the many reassembled / Franken / Fakes and so on watches when it comes to the 2915.

Finding a correct one is an almost impossible mission, and when you find it, you have to fund it, which is another difficulty.



So my ambition is limited in taking photos of what I think to be a nice specimen, here.











I must say that I much prefer the metal bezel rather than this one, a preference I also have on the Vintage Daytona, at the risk to hear the Purists shouting.

A very nice reconditioned watch. Odd not to find the slightest lume defect on the hands and the slightest trace of corrosion on the hands and the rehaut. A pity about the polishing of the front face of the case. Still, let's not spit in the soup, a very nice watch. This is a true mine field.

I think a 2998 is more in my league.

Even if I found this one pretty... nice.



As for the pics, when you love watches, it is easy to take some good pics.

Better than on a watch you don't like.

There are too many traps with the 2915... Way too many for me.

As for pictures, it is just a matter of time. Don't forget two golden rules: Light, and stability.

Then, try some settings... And after think about the best way to avoid reflection...

It will come with time.

if this is an 2915 or an 2998 with a 2915 back. on the dial: the original dial has very long luminous markers. was changed with later 2998 versions. the original hands have some distinct features too. the original hour hand is slightly curved in itself; the replacements are flat. the pusher diameter is very small. this bezel here is from 2998. my understanding so far was, that the lollipop hand is from 2998 as well and should cover the omega logo. seems to be a complete different hand here. crown seems to be too thick for 2915. but, hey, that all fine with me. these originals are 55 years old; you have to expect replacements.....kind regards. achim

Dial is correct for 2915-1 to -3
Hands (hour and minute) correct for 2915-1 and -2; -3 should have alpha hands
The subdial hands look a bit funny to me - a bit too stout with the possible exception of the one in the hour subdial.
Lollipop may be correct for 2915-3 but I can't be sure if it is likewise correct for the -1 and -2
Caseback correct for 2915-1 and -2 but not for -3
Bezel correct for 2915-3 but not for -1 or -2
Movement of course we do not know since there is no picture. 
My conclusion is that it is a nice watch but don't think all the important bits came to life together in one watch - most likely it is a 2915-2 with the bezel and perhaps the subdial hands and the lollipop hand being later replacements.  And also of course there is the movement and whether it is correct for the case reference.

Which proves all the complexity of this reference...

although i already have it. i would go for a 105.003-64. they may not have broad arrow hands, but they are possibly the first ones that you can readily buy in original condition and the last of the straight lugs.

if you are desperate for broad arrows etc then go for the 1957 replica made in 1998-2001, which i've also got. it may be newer, but it has all the bits that you want.

this hunt for a 2915/2998 will drive you to stop drinking

Of the 2998 to the baton hands of the 105 003. Even if the 2998 has a major flaw... It is not from '64.
