This Dodge is not.
I'm sure this is quite a rare beast, as in 1957 Chevrolet Cameo pickups with a NAPCO 4x4 conversion were like hen's teeth. Heck, as rare as Hen's Wisdom teeth!

Then we came to Bill's corner, with El Camino waiting for him to come get it for restoration...
same guy had a Pontiac Firebird too. And two Ford pickups and something under a cover. It was that kind of neighborhood.

FYI - my Rampside (shown below) which is the pickup cousin on the Greenbriar was sold (not by me) on Bring a Trailer for $15,000. I bought it for $400.

Herein ends the old car spotting theme, and we see C Me Out 2 go blasting by in his C8. We put the pedal down and headed for the canyons.

Part 2 Canyons and Creeks
We went for a quick walk at a private pond hidden in a private community. We entered with impunity. But not immunity, so we kept it a short visit.
He said, Burp, bloop, splash.
We checked out the flowers -- everything is in bloom right now.
This tree obviously didn't know which way was up!
San Diego is NEVER this green! But here it is.
There were two ducks in the middle of the pond, near the water bubbling up.
We couldn't tell if they were engaged in courtship behavior, so I took a picture and we left them alone to circle around each other. When we got home I could see they were decoys. Fooled!
We had a nice conversation with a goldfish on steroids. But we had no food for him.

We couldn't tell if they were engaged in courtship behavior, so I took a picture and we left them alone to circle around each other. When we got home I could see they were decoys. Fooled!
Not wanting to push our luck with the grumpy old guys whose condos are around the hills surrounding the pond, we beat it and headed for the canyons. Please join us for part 3.

Part 3 Cliffs and Canyons
We had come to a deadend street which offered us a chance to enter a vacant lot between 2 houses. Maybe the empty lot was the result of a house falling off... yikes! The grass was very slippery.

South towards the City
North towards LA, SF, Alaska, etc.
Lizards were plentiful but my auto-focus was acting up.
We saw literally hundreds of bumble bees. And why not, the blooms were everywhere. Here's a bumble.
I did see two rabbits who may have left these pellets, but they were too fast for me. I also got lots of stickers in my socks. Sandals not such a good idea here.
A wasp attracted me
This is Rose Creek on the bottom and the San Diego Trolley at top right (as if you couldn't tell). We have visited both in other episodes.
This deck hanging out over the canyon looked about as stable as that fallen century plant to its left.
Something darted into the hole and we couldn't coax it out. Later, back in the photo lab I could zoom in and see a lizard at the entrance.
We came to an impasse and turned around. Walked a bit on the streets,
looking at flowers, then entered another canyon.
The sign said "This is partly city property and partly private property and you shouldn't mess it up like some guys already have done... blah blah"
We just walked.
Saw some birds (only one shy hummingbird today).
Got tired and headed back to the car.

Excellent. I thought all Greenbriers were like VW Westfalia style camper vans but that looks more like a people hauler. I guess they made both types. Looks like you had a fine day!
I always find it interesting when I see cars people wanting to restore...
I grew up back in the day of 50s 60s and 70s and many of the cars I see today that people are restoring were NEVER considered "classics" but were merely family cars.
I had a 46 Pontiac, a 57 Pontiac Hearse, a 68 Charger (like the one in Bullitt) a 75 Monte Carlo etc etc. To me some years were classics and other years were definitely not.
Maybe it's because the "collectible" ones are already picked over.
Taste in vehicles certainly varies
From family to family and region to region.
We need thing is for certain - most people with an older car have more than one (I suppose the same thing applies to 🐈⬛ cats).
