Cubitus
I read that Cubitus was the name of a french cartoon, in the 80's, a big white flegmatic dog, kind of Snoopy.

Dupa was born in Belgium.
I had all the Cubitus (Dommel in Flemish) comic books.
Cubitus appeared weekly in the Tinitin magazine, I think the humour was a level above (or very different) to that of Snoopy.

Snoopy got jet lagged by his moonish escapades, glad the Belgians helped with the recovery 
(Said with love) NASA has Snoopy. OMEGA was part of NASA history. So there is a real connection of sorts... when you use your timepiece as a true Tool Watch. :)
Omega had to pass some serious tests in the 1960s to be approved for NASA. Today, about 60 years later, OMEGA still passes METAS testing.
Can this be the reason to change it to the new Nautilus²
Nautilus² .... as in the next series, and also works as 'squared', plus it's a mathematical fun notation. For marketing, the raised 2 really is an interesting visual and graphical space 'standout' of sorts. While small in size, it also makes a big difference in catching the eye... tickling the brain to process something... different.

I've been saying it like this...
I've been saying CUBE-hi-tus. And apparently others have been saying it CUBE-it-us. The way I say it sounds worse.
I would request Thierry Stern to please provide an official pronunciation of the word.
After all it’s his child and only he can give its name a proper pronunciation…
