Love is a verb. To act lovingly. As a tangent
to Fromm's quote, should there be a quick
exit from this world (which most likely will be
my case since everyone in my family died of a
heart attack) there should be no doubt about
the devotion and having been loved for those
still here.

When I read the quote it basically meant “talk is cheap” to some extent.
