i'm a little more cautious about the phone, but on the iPad the update has been flawless. The mail client is much better, like the ios4 one on the iPhone, and i've got a couple of apps which are much happier multitasking.
I do miss the rotation lock, but I'll get used to it A
Double tap the home button and a menu will pop up on the bottom. Then scroll left through the icons and it should give you the option to lock the screen rotation.
It took a fair amount of googling to find this out.
The ability to delete apps from the phone makes things easier. I tend to accumulate a lot of garbage apps over time (especially while out drinking with friends).
Sincen the update the iPad goes to home screen while working in a App, this did not occur prior to the update. Kind of miss the rotation button but the soft lock is pretty simple Now if we can figure out how to print to other wireless or network printers.
seems to work fine. My original 3G could not run 4.1, my loaner 3G runs 4.2 just fine. Still hope to find the perfect phone over the next month or two.
