But let me just say that real New York cheesecake from one of the Italian or Greek bakeries in Queens, New York, is the best on earth. Anyway, sounds like d'odici is the kind of cake you have to buy a few days in advance to enjoy with, like, Sunday dinner, whatever! I find that Spaghetti and meatballs in tomato sauce is like that, tastes better the next day since it's had time to sit in the 'juices'. Mamma mia, buono appetito!
Which bakery in NY, any specific one? I have had cheesecake from Junior's and it's insanely good. The d'odici is a souffle cake and its good but nothing spectacular.
Ate a piece of it right away and then tried to save some for the next day.....didn't work, I just ate the whole thing a few minutes after the first piece. LOL!
Thanks for sharing, really wondering what is the inspiration behind the watch on this cake... I think a visit to Pasadena is necessary upon my next trip to Los Angeles.
