Art, I think the Senator Chronometer is just a marvelous offering.  Hits all the right buttons for me:
design heritage, dial layout, movement quality, technological innovation and performance....

My feelings?

"Absolutely love and want to own"? - Sure!

"Thinking about acquiring"? - Well, in that sweet time just before the alarm goes off in the morning!  I think I'll
hope for a stainless model to be released and those horses to finally run in the money...

I feel like you in all aspects.

I might add, that I find it more and more difficult to justify further watch acqusitions as the number of my watches has already exceeded the limits of practical wearing opportunities by far. So the threshold is rising, but the chronometer is definitely a lovable watch....

A folder on the hard drive specifically for watches that one would certainly acquire when able.  Watches within reach, and not just the ones that would be nice to own, but pieces that you see as lasting for a long time in the collection.

The WG Senator Chronometer has been in my folder since I first saw pictures of it

I have been waiting to see the 60's Chrono.  It's the one watch that captivated me from Basel.  I really like the distinctive cushion case design.  I am only hoping it will fit and be comfortable on my wrist.  The Chronometer is a distant second.  While I tend to favor deck watches, it's probably too big for me since I see it more as a dress watch given the precious metal case and high finishing.  I can see myself changing my opinion, though, if it is a nice as some of the photos recently posted.

.... waiting to see one in the metal to see whether it is too big for me. Otherwise, hits all the right notes for me ...

really....i would get this one and the meissen tourbillon...which is probably one of the most beautiful ever...

Especially, the case, GO has really made effort to improve it. From the pieces that I saw recently, they are miles different from the pieces offered to me some years ago.

GO is definitely in my list now.

Senator perpetual calendar and Senator Chronometer look both too big on my wrist :-(

Have seen both in the metal and they are very nice.

I am taking a time out from getting new watches as I already had my share this year (one is in the box and another one will be delivered sometime near the end of the year).
On the list for the future is a Reverso and (something slightly different) a Sattler Mechanika M1.

If it was within my reach, the GO Chronometer in red gold would be between the top two on wish list, having a serious contender in the Richard Lange, also in red gold.

The new watches from Basel are nice. I like the ceramic Senator and slowly, very slowly, I get a feel for the Square Sixties Chronograph.
But it is not enough to jump by threshold for a purchase. This means: Having a break.
