...for later? Who knows. I also asked GO and they gave me the same answer. The Chronometer is a running piece and why should they change this policy. Maybe in a couple of years, when it sells not so good then they will change the mind. You will see. BUT: this is not a problem for me.

given that other GO offerings such as the Senator Perpetual are also available in steel and precious metal. As long as the models are somewhat distinguishable (different dials) what is there to complain? I hope they do it. After all, deck watches that these pieces take their stylistic clues from were steel clocks as well.

... of the fact that many of the watches they make are available in stainless as well as precious metals. This brings pieces of art into every day wear and when I say this I"m not talking about trying to get through the day by carefully and alertly being aware of every potential scratch maker. I'm talking about wearing a watch largely without concern. This is what I like to do, a watch unworn is a waste to me. I recognize that many do not share this feeling and enjoy the collecting aspect as much or more than the pieces themselves. Nothing wrong with that and I'm not knocking it but this is not me.
I would love it if they made a stainless version. The black dialed varient would be a insta-buy for me and I believe many others. Perhaps make a small change like loosing the date might help make it more palletable?
