the Cape Province. With time in your hand you might decide to take a short ride to Hermanus (for whale watching) or Gansbaai for cage diving with Great White Sharks 
Did the whale watching but the weather wasn’t great on the days that I tried the cage diving.
An amazing region in terms of options for tourism, for sure!

The weather (as in your case) can be unkind. That's why, maniacs like me, normally dive again and again and again. The first day I went it wasn't good for me either. I decided to spend the night at Hermanus and the day after I rented the boad just for myself, went to a different spot, got my....pound of flesh....and returned to C.T. with a grin on my face
