I enjoy this one so much - both on its own merits and because of some nostalgia for the good old Panerai times. This one helped me rediscover the joy Panerai watches can be associated with.

Is the lume color different from the 372?

I am still researching differences with the legendary 372, will report back!

Pretty much mirroring the 372, including the 47 mm diameter, but 1628 is a smidge slimmer (not sure if this is purely because the glass as not as tall - “box” vs”dome”).

I noticed from your pictures that the dial color is very subtle while the texture gives it a modern cool look. Congratulations

A timeless classic. Besides the movement comparison this one also has the vintage matte finish on its case vs the also shiny polished case on the 372. So basically I believe this one will age differently and more gracefully over time 😊

I am liking that special steel treatment, I must say.
