and any Panerai collector will tell you that right off the bat. Sorry to tell u but your watch is counterfeit and obviously far from being authentic. It is a total obvious fake and a poor replica.
Sorry to tell you the bad news.

Maybe you need to ask some questions not involving blued screws? You're kind of fixated on the screws....
Perhaps you might consider changing "friends". I'd also advise you to get a tripod, it does wonders for reducing fuzziness in photos.
well, honestly that was a shot from my webcam... i had this laziness last night i didnt even care to do it with my digicam.. if you've got really helpful things to say i uploaded clearer photos again.. im kinda fixed with the screws bcoz almost all the sites i saw talked about it.... anyway, i went to a small watch store here in italy and he told me it seem to be authentic be he was not so sure because he never sold those brands so im planning to go to a bigger store and i think its even a registered panerai retailer..

Firstly, I would love to have friends who would openly and happily buy me a very expensive watch! I guess I am not that popular.
Secondly, there are good quality fakes and bad quality fakes. I guess your friend was too cheap to get you a good quality fake.
Thirdly, that is a pretty poor quality photo. Especially if you are trying to genuinely seek help on identifying your watch.
Finally, you have a brand new login for the specific purpose of posting this query. Please don't stop posting as I find you very amusing.
Given this "template" approach, its difficult not to suspect that you are attempting to check if you are able to list this fake on eprey in the hope of snaring an unsuspecting victim by testing it out on a forum of watch enthusiast. If that was your intention, I'd suggest you change suppliers as your current source is pretty poor. I would also suggest changing your story in the future. Its becoming too easy to spot like the Nigerian 419 scams.
Also, why so fixated on the blue screws? Given what you have, the blue screws should be the least of your worries. Were you going to use a blue magic marker to "colour" in the the screws?
Having said that, please accept my apologies if I misread your intentions as I am under a lot of stress due to another urgent matter. I am trying to help a widow who has a signficant sum of money that she can't access. She said that she'll share it with me if I send her some money to cover legal costs.

The question about the blue screws is a good one - you and I know well that Panerai is soon to introduce, via their new Filigree Activated Kernel Extrusion process, a new color and so asking about whether his watch is fake is perfectly legitimate. This is one of two new features which I think we can discuss on this very private forum.
So the new color of the screws is bright red (Pantone Red 032) and all new Panerais will also have the initials of the new coloring process engraved on the back. That’s how people will be able to tell a real one from these terrible imitations one may chance upon in louche bars and other establishments nuns do not frequent.
This message has been edited by AFSG on 2008-08-24 20:41:34I feel rather ashamed that I belittled someone who is just thirsty for knowledge. After all, I was a newbie once and everyone here was so helpful when I asked whether or not the Penerai boutique I visited in Shenzhen was a genuine boutique.
Thanks AFSG. I will certainly be more tolerant of such posts in the future.

...did someone say nuns? And bars? Let's go!
Cheers,
pplater.
...seriously...if you looked at 'hundreds' of panerai pics and still question if yours is real, then my suggestion is to stay away from expensive purchases...
im not a watch geek... and i just asked a simple question.... i wouldn't post it here if i found enuf answers on the net..
so i just need clear answers and i don't care to those who just pretend to know everything about it but cannot post a single fact that might help me....
i manage a sportshop.. if my clients are askin a shirt.. or showing me a photo.. of whatever jersey.. no matter how it was blurry i can tell what is it or even of what year it was used. that's what you call being an expert... i hope you guys get it.. if you claim you're just too expert for my question... just shut off of you're ** mouths and that will even help this thread not to go longer for nonsense.. @ASFG i respond to one of the comments of aptronym and i posted clearer photos there.. hope you can take a look at it, wud really appreciate it.... thanks!
