Hello everybody,
So this is the story: I unfortunately spent a great time in Paris with Asimut and Amanico, I said unfortunately because after listening to them now I am interested in Panerais too... Argh, like I didn't have enough interests in other watches already!
Anyway before going to real collector items, I have been looking at some models: first it was the 275 and then I thought it might be too busy so I went to the 270 or 233 all of them 1950s and then I even thought about a simple 111 just to start off. I have to say that the strap possibilities are also very exciting especially this guy in Montana making bad ass leather stuff. Any input would be appreciated.

btw my wife is not saying thank you to Asimut and Amanico
that would be boring?
Why not go for some beautiful tritium patina with some early A or B transitional series? 1A/1BT or 2A/2BT are great choices!
As for the missus, she will be sporting a PAM soon enough, then the tone will change
Cheers,
Asi

but IMO you cannot dive before you learn to swim? For the price of a logo, you can start off with a few pieces, like the early A's (that's why I didn't mention pre-A's) a fiddy, a mare, etc.
It's true that tritium and patina need some appreciation, but in the case of AT - I think we can skip the training wheels
Just my 2c.
Welcome to the club AT!
Always good to see we'v snag another guy!
Ciao!

Btw, this was my 1st Panny!

that is dangerous if you do not own any Panerai's!
Have you looked into getting a PAM127? That's a collectors watch IMO and prices have declined dramatically where it's in its appropriate price category now IMO. It's also cheaper than the PAM270 so thought that might be an alternative choice for you. It's also in the 1950 case you like too.
Cheers,
Anthony
