The Panerai PAM616 Carbotech (right) has the same retail price as the PAM615 1950 Submersible w/ black ceramic bezel (left) - $18,400.
Since they are the same exact retail price, which one would you choose? PAM616 vs PAM615
Cheers,
Anthony

Carbotech would be my choise but tot be very honnest, neither of them because of the to high price
, like said no one needs a flyback in a dive watch for instance and i'm not at all convinced that the carbon keeps up well in everyday use, there's no way to repair or buff out dings and dongs, you can imagine what they'll charge for a new case
, remember that for half the price you can buy a 305 (9400$) or 389 (11400$) and probably get a good discount on it.
On a visual matter the carbotech wins, that's for sure, ...
just my 2c€
Why?
Because I really love the design and aesthetics of the PAM615. I think it's one of Panerai's most sexiest chronographs ever made.
I love the Carbotech, but my hopes are for Panerai to make a 44mm version of the Carbotech, whether it's a regular luminor or maybe even a chrono. I love the look of the Carbotech but I'm going to hold back for a future smaller sized model because I know the thick 47mm submersible case will get tiring on the wrist for me.
Cheers,
Anthony
the flyback with the chrono pushers away from the crown guard...and the whole carbotech case...
based on novelty...Carbotech for me..but not at that price...
