What can one say about this watch. I feel it is a great offering. Special movement and ditto way to operate its functions. Personally I do not regard this as the most pretty watch. But it is a true tool watch. (especially if they'd opt for a 100% steel watch)

'most interesting novelty' (as in: placing a high complication movement in a 'low' price segment and thus complying to the current market).
I love the complications
And can definitely live with this design (esp compared to the original busy version). Steel/blue dial suits it.
I also think it's fairly priced for what it does (and the Rolex label on top).
Not sure if it's 42mm size will agree with my wrist though - need to try it on. Did it wear big?

No it didn't wear (too) big (to me). Not saying it's a small watch though because it does has a lot of wrist presence. But if one is looking for a non conspicuous watch Rolex is the wrong address anyway.

I like it a lot.
Not sure if 42mm will fit me well, but in my opinion a very strong offering from Rolex.
The value proposition is very, very good - annual calendar GMT tool watch for less than USD 15,000.
Why the white gold bezel?
What's with that white gold bezel? Other than the obvious marketing strategy, doesn't make any sense, IMHO. Wouldn't a hardened stainless or tungsten carbide bezel for this watch be a more appropriate material. One could surmise that the specialized bezel that is integral for the activation of the functions, would therefore necessitate a more robust option. Also, the aesthetics would remain intact and the durability could not be questioned. IMHO
A far calmer dial now.
I like the useful complications. Perhaps I will acquire the steel version someday.
Nevertheless I'm very happy - and relieved! - I didn't pull the trigger on the much more expensive WG version (black dial with white ring) last year...
